Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not a prerequisite. Outside sales experience of at least 1 year, unless currently in another role within our organization.
Other Skills and Abilities:
The sales representative must have a competitive attitude and desire to succeed. Candidate should have above average skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They should have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Attention to detail a must. Inside sales reps must have time management skills, be self-motivated, be able to build relationships, and always maintain a positive attitude.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. The job requires sitting at a desk for up to 8 hours per day.
Work Environment:
The work environment will be at a desk in a call center surrounded by teammates. The noise level is usually moderate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform the functions of the inside sales representative by through the following duties: receiving inbound sales calls, converting calls into orders, and processing orders according to company operating procedures. Also, shows utilization of our systems and resources to aid and improve the service to our customers.
- Solicits sales from customers in an assigned sales territory by showing urgency to perform the following duties: Pro-actively calling on customers, taking orders, following up on quotes, introducing new product lines, supplying customers with product knowledge and literature, and assisting in the promotion of customer sales of our products.
- Learns the functions of the distribution center warehouse including inventory control, receiving, storing, picking and shipping of the product to the customer. Leverages this knowledge to effectively communicate and problem solve between departments.
- Attends and actively participates in company-sponsored training, ride-alongs, and other training as required. This includes the level of participation in morning meetings and the general drive to seek out and share knowledge.
