Description:

The Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager of the branch. This role is responsible for the successful execution of warehousing, production, delivery and field service. The position requires the ability to develop, control and adjust the branch plans to implement the company’s growth strategy while simultaneously leading the team to achieve operational goals and efficiency targets for the branch.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs and maximize overall efficiency.
  • Monitor production schedules, workflow, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, and sales.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate a diverse team of supervisors and employees. Establish performance goals and provide ongoing feedback to foster employee growth and development.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence. Conduct audits to assess performance and identify bottlenecks while implementing corrective actions and new technology.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance to standards and environmental protocols.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety training sessions and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years related experience (building materials and millwork is desirable)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience as an Operation’s Manager or similar role in manufacturing environment
  • Outstanding leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.
